Notes on contributors
We are members of a class at the University of Illinois, Springfield participating in a collaborative experience with the Illinois State Museum. We studied, researched, and gained experience in handling a range of Japanese historical artifacts in the ISM collection, learned aspects of collection curation and exhibit construction, and devoted classroom time to studying material culture and relevant cultural contexts.
